We’re always searching for new delicious and healthy kids snacks, and we found another snack bar to add to the list. Goodkid bars are made with a short list of simple ingredients and they only have 6 grams of natural sugar. That’s only half of what you’ll find in other popular snack or energy bars.
Hailing from Bend, Oregon Ashleigh and Bart Mitchell began making healthy snack bars at home to fill a need in their own family—for a portable yet nutritious snack that made both kids and parents happy. Realizing they weren’t the only parents in need, they founded Goodkid Foods in 2012 to share their delicious snack bars with Goodkids everywhere. Made with wholesome ingredients, gluten-free, non-GMO and with half the sugar of leading snack bars, Goodkid bars not only fill bellies but also fill up imaginations.
Goodkid® is available for purchase in select WholeFoods Market, Amazon.com, and independent retail stores nationwide. Ashleigh is one of the rapidly growing ‘mompreneurs’ in the country. A year ago, they launched and successfully ran a Kickstarter campaign to fund their dream of creating and producing wholesome, healthy, gluten-free, low sugar snack bars for kids.
In a year, and with just $25,000 from the campaign, Ashleigh and Bart were able to have Goodkid bars sold in many grocery shelves, like Whole Foods, and several awesome local shops including markets, cafes, airports, and museums around the country. With a mission embedded in helping children get the nutrition they need, Goodkid Foods is changing the children’s snack food industry for the better.
